Camping in your RV is a great way to get out into nature and spend quality time with loved ones. However, you do still need to take care of various chores & tasks, and that includes preparing food. While it might be tempting to rely on convenience foods or take-out, the truth is that you can easily prepare healthy hot meals in your RV’s kitchen, with a few tricks.

Prepare in Advance

If you have time before your trip, it might be helpful to prepare some of your family’s favorite meals at home, then divide them into portions in Tupperware containers that you can easily microwave in your RV.

Clean As You Go

Stay on top of tidying up your kitchen workspace, since you’ll have limited room for meal prep. Compost vegetable scraps, rinse cutting boards, wipe spills up immediately, and put ingredients away right after you use them so you have plenty of space to work.

Try Cold Meals

Sometimes, it’s best to avoid turning on the stove or oven, particularly on a hot day when this would overheat your RV’s interior. Instead of hot meals, try breakfast parfaits made from granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit, or sandwiches for lunch, or garden salads and leftover grilled meat for dinner.
